Society Corp. originated as Cleveland's Society for Savings in 1849, and had acquired Cleveland Central National Bank in 1986 and Ameritrust (formerly Cleveland Trust) PRior to its merger with the former KeyCorp. KeyCorp is a publicly-traded sTOCk on the New York Stock Exchange. It is listed as KEY.

On SepteMBer 6, 2006, KeyBank announced that it was selling its broker-dealer branch network MCDOnald Investments Inc. to UBS Financial Services Inc.
